The Desktop Support Analyst is critical to making this happen and will be responsible to work with Global Markets customers to fully understand their needs and requirements and provides appropriate solutions to meet their needs on an ongoing basis. This role will provide 2nd level technical support for Server, PC, LAN and WAN within Global Markets business.
Analysis, problem solve and provide technical consulting services and solutions to business unit issues and requirements.
Undertake performance checking and routine housekeeping of specific trading room platforms.
Maximum availability and usability of the LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Support for Trading Room system and services technology which includes trading room platforms, transactional platforms & vendor provided application and services both server and desktop.
Partake in a rotating support roster to cover Markets open and close.
The incumbent is expected to maintain an extremely high level of technical understanding of the environments utilised

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Knowledge and troubleshooting skills on Windows 10 Operating systems and Microsoft applications.
Knowledge on PC Hardware and Android Mobile devices.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal successfully with all levels of customers and staff.
Ability to set clear achievable goals, set priorities, meet deadlines, take ownership and work individually and as part of the wider team.
Ability to challenge existing processes and procedures.
Financial markets exposure and understanding with dealing room applications and systems such as Reuters Eikon, Bloomberg and Excel Add-ins etc.
Knowledge of supporting Trading room phone systems (BT/IPC).
