We would like you to be part of our product development team, for complex automotive systems, internal combustions, and E-mobility propulsion. We are looking for a lead technical engineer to coordinate international development teams and be part of our global R&D team. Your work, as lead technical engineer, is to coordinate engineers from product design, simulation, prototyping, component testing, and materials laboratory.

Your Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan and control of the entire product-related development concerning function, quality, costs, and deadlines
• Ensure the progress of your development project, following our Product Development Process from acquisition to series handover in our production plants
• Status and cost reporting to our lead management
• Communication and coordination of all development related issues with our customers
• Coordinate the execution of functional risk analysis, design-FMEA, and engineering changes
• Drive the acquisition of new business and development projects
• Review of customer specifications regarding product requirements
• Prepare MAHLE specifications and clarify deviations with customers and suppliers
• Management of problem-solving teams in the event of complaints or failures
• Management of cost optimization projects

Your Skills & Strengths:

• You have a university degree in mechanical engineering or a similar subject
• You are passioned about automotive technology and wish to drive forward innovative products
• Experience in product development and detailed knowledge in design and validation of products
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident interaction with customers and top managers
• Excellent English language skills in spoken and written form
• German language is considered a plus
• Excellent intercultural competence
• High willingness to perform and most professional way of working
• You are a team player and able to lead and support teams even in demanding situations
• Willingness to travel (domestic/international)
