We have an exciting opportunity for a AO Practice Administrator to join the team here at Catterick Garrison.
This is a Part Time position for 30 hours per week.

Job description
Working in a enriching area of DMS with an aim to increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the regional health service.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a high standard of administrative support to Defence Medical Services.
The Administrator will receive all patients and visitors to the Medical Centre in an appropriate manner; make appointments for consultations/clinics for patients using the appropriate systems. Ensure that all medical files are up-to-date, accurate and neat, overseeing and assisting with all filing; circulate patient records around the Medical Centre as required. Assist with the implementation of systems for the successful performance of medico-legal requirements, medical ethics, and patient confidentiality.
Person specification
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
- Adding routine clinics on Defence Medical information capability program (DMICP) when directed by the Practice manager or if the Practice manager is absent.
- Answering telephone calls and receive all patients and visitors ensuing patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintaining the appointment system on DMICP and managing daily clinics on DMICP
- Reviewing each medical record on patient contact to check for out of date vaccinations, audios & health checks and make appropriate appointments.

Selection process details
This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station which is based on business assessment of where the work is best done) and working from home as a personal choice (if the role is suitable for this). If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
