Job Description:
· Prepare, cook and present all food effectively and efficiently, meeting the company operations manual and standards.
· Assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all food.
· Ensure that procedures for equipment and work areas are in compliance to the established standards.
· Designing the menu and adapting the recipes creatively so that food is delicious and tempting.
· Select the ingredients that give dishes the best flavor.
· Maintain good knowledge on standard cooking preparation through training by immediate superior/ manual provided by the company.
· Cook the meals according to prepared recipe and method.
· Rightly estimating raw materials needed to ensure appropriate inventory and minimize waste.
· Practicing the best practices to ensure food safety, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene.
· Helping in food packing whenever necessary.
Requirements:
· Must possess at least SPM/STPM/ Professional Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced/Higher/Graduate in Culinary Art. Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
· Able to work on shift.
· Able to cook a variety of Western and Malay cuisine.
· Thorough knowledge of food safety procedures.
· Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
· Experienced in steakhouse/ western restaurant is an added advantage.
